Our idea is also to work for the recognition of each refugee and each IDP in DRC: October 18th we shall be in Maluku

Kulihoshi Musikami Pecos, the National Team Leader, carrying clothes which were donated, here he is taking them to the Offices and then they will be taken to Maluku. Our Team members are moving in different places to collect what people have offered.

Community mobilization to help Internally Displaced Persons in Maluku on Sunday October 18th, 2026

The most support we can give to Internally Displaced Persons and Refugees in not necessary materials alone but also their recognition, the recognition of their situation and the maximum solidarity towards them. Yet this is the most difficult thing in the Democratic Republic of Congo where even the local population is not so much informed about refugees and IDPs, and beyond the local population is not encouraged to support and to offer acts of solidarity including kindness and share of the available resources.

This is what we are pushing to challenge in order to ensure each refugee and each IDP is recognized and that each situation affecting them is recorded and shared among actors.

These are clothes and shoes which were donated by a woman who did not her name to be disclosed, in order to help Internally Displaced Persons in Maluku. At least some IDPs will have their problems of clothes and shoes solved for a while, and this will help to focus on something else. Thank you so much Maman.

Now we have started collecting things which will be distributed to IDPs in Maluku on Sunday October 18th, 2026. A woman donated these clothes and shoes which will be distributed and good enough they are many. We have also received some calls from other people who wish to donate to this cause, we are ready to move and collect the donations.

We are glad that this simple call for actions has helped some people to know about IDPs in Maluku and has increased the number of those who already know.

Please join us now.
