Report of our participation in the meeting of Human Rights Monitoring Cluster hosted by the United Nations Human Rights Offices in Kinshasa

Our volunteer in-charge of Public Relations Jacky Maria was elected yesterday Thursday April 9^th, 2026 the Rapporteur of the Human Rights Monitoring Cluster hosted by BCNUDH/MONUSCO the United Nations Human Rights Offices in Kinshasa. This is part of our strategy in order to advocate for the protection of forced migrants rights in this country.

On the same occasion, our coordinator Kulihoshi Musikami Pecos will lead the Team of Human Rights Defenders who will visit various Courts of Justice to monitor why people have reduced in order to access justice. The Monitoring Team will also visit some Police Cells especially those which keep suspects in the Cell beyond 48 hours.

The meeting also focused on making an implementation work-plan about the reconditions agreed by the Democratic Republic of Congo, which focus on the abolition of the death penalty, the protection of human rights defenders and uphold human rights and to guaranty all the various freedoms in the country. We developed a work-plan and through this we have refugee human rights will be included.
