We can blame Burundi for what happened to Congolese refugees, what about those who took the route Fizi-Kalemie?

THE CONTRAST OF HUMANITARIAN INTERVENTIONS TOWARDS THE WAR VICTIMS FROM UVIRA CITY, SOUTH KIVU, THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO

As we have said it before, the DRC Government made a serious mistake to withdraw from Uvira and let AFC/M23 rebels backed by Rwanda capture the city of Uvira. This forced thousands of people run away into different directions: The first group of thousands of people moved to Burudi and the second group of thousands of people moved to Fizi-Kalemie.

The situation of the first group which moved to Bujumbura was highly broadcasted in various media groups which quickly mobilized the Democratic Republic of Congo Government to respond with emergency aid.

Here are some pictures of Congolese refugees in Burundi, and here are the most newly created camps. We may talk a lot about how Burundi welcomed refugees but the situation in Burundi may 10 times better than those who took the route Fizi-Kalemie.

While thousands of war victims are still in various places in Fizi, their situation remains unknown due to security, and difficult to reach areas, here there is no Smart Phone in order to take a Picture, sometimes there is no internet in order to share the picture and sometimes there is no electricity and no other alternative to charge the phone.

Those who have managed to reach Kalemie are at least known because of our efforts, every times we bring to light their disaster situation. The DRC Government promised to assist them since September but nothing has been done up today.
