Workshop on durable solutions to FDLR fighters in the Democratic Republic of Congo

We have organized a workshop bringing together interested actors in the efforts to explore local durable solution to the challenges posed by the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda known as FDLR. The one day workshop will focus on bringing all actors on board in order to work together rather than being considered as a problem only for the international community.

This was our recent consultations with Rwandan Refugee Leaders in Kinshasa 

The workshop on Thursday August 20th 2026 will start at 9am and so far invitations have been sent to Government Institutions, the Diplomatic Missions, Actors of the Civil Society, and Refugee Leaders living in Kinshasa. One among our approach to harmonize on local solutions which can be encouraged in order to promote peace in the Democratic Republic of Congo. We expect to have the Minister for Regional Integration as Panelist alongside with two other experts and a representative of refugees from Rwanda who feel particularly targeted by this topic.
